RESOLUTION NO. 10433
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING A NEW AND REVISED JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
FOR THE SILICON VALLEY ANIMAL CONTROL AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority ("SV ACA") was initially created
in 2000 pursuant to a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement (the "JPA") with seven member
agencies; and
WHEREAS, as of July 1st, 2004, SV ACA now has three member agencies; and
WHEREAS, the membership changes require SV ACA to restructure the governance
provisions and other relevant requirements of the JPA; and
WHEREAS, SV ACA's Technical Advisory Committee and its Executive Director have
carefully considered and recommended a revised JPA to govern the reconstituted SV ACA; and
WHEREAS, the SV ACA Board of Directors approved the new JPA at its meeting on
November 22, 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the attached and revised Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for the Silicon Valley
Animal Control Authority that was approved by the SV ACA Board of Directors on November 22,
2004.
