CC Resolution 10451 RESOLUTION NO. 10451 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA AND THE CITY OF CAMPBELL FOR THE JOINT UTILIZATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FACILITIES RELATING TO THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA TRAFFIC OPERATIONS SYSTEM WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara's Measure B-funded Lawrence Almaden Traffic Operations System (TOS) project will provide the County with a fiber optic system that links all of the expressways to the County's Traffic Operations Center (TOC) located at 1505 Schallenberger Road in San Jose; and WHEREAS, the project scope includes the installation of fiber optic conduits, cables, and pull boxes in Campbell right-of-way along the south side of Camden A venue between Bascom A venue and White Oaks Road; and WHEREAS, the County is required to apply for a City encroachment permit to construct the Lawrence Almaden TOS Project within the City's right-of-way; and WHEREAS, Campbell Public Works Department staff have reviewed and approved the County's project plans and specifications; and WHEREAS, the attached Joint Utilization and Maintenance Agreement (Agreement) identifies the City of Campbell and County of Santa Clara's responsibilities with regards to jointly utilizing and maintaining the TOS facilities in City right-of-way. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an Agreement between the County of Santa Clara and the City of Campbell for the joint utilization and maintenance of facilities relating to the County of Santa Clara Traffic Operations System in substantially the form as attached.
