RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA FOR SHARING
OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice Bureau of Justice
Assistance is making available an amount of $750,048 to the County of Santa
Clara through the 2005 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant
program; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara is required by the Bureau of
Justice Assistance to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with local law
enforcement agencies for the sharing of Justice Assistance Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara has proposed a memorandum of
understanding for sharing 2005 Justice Assistance Grant funds with the County
and other Santa Clara County municipalities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Campbell authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute a Memorandum of
Understanding with the County of Santa Clara for sharing of Justice Assistance
Grant funds, designating an amount of $9,689 to be made available to the City of
Campbell through this grant program.
