CC Resolution 10512 RESOLUTION NO. 10512 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING POLICE DEPARTMENT STAFF TO DISPENSE WITH THE FORMAL BID PROCESS AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH XYBIX SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL FOR THE PURCHASE OF ERGONOMIC DISPT ACH CONSOLE FURNITURE WHEREAS, the Police Department will be replacing its Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) 9-1-1 telephone system, as well as related furnishings and equipment, using State of California 9-1-1 Office funding, and WHEREAS, state-of-the-art ergonomic dispatch console furniture is only available from one vendor in the nation due to its special nature, and WHEREAS, the City's purchasing policy requires the use of a formal bid process for purchases of supplies and equipment exceeding $25,000; and WHEREAS, Campbell Municipal Code 3.20.030(7) provides that the formal bid process may be dispensed where the purchases of supplies, services and equipment can only be obtained from one vendor, and WHREREAS, Xybix Systems, Inc. is the only company in the nation that manufactures this specialized ergonomic dispatch console furniture. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Xybix Systems, Inc. for the purchase of ergonomic dispatch console furniture.
