A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR PROJECT 02-04 - AINSLEY PARK
ENHANCEMENT TO HRB CONSTRUCTION, INC.; AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC
WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND APPROVING A
BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, bids were received for Project 02-04, Ainlsey Park Enhancement;
and
WHEREAS, HRB Construction, Inc has been found to be the lowest responsible
bidder with a total base bid of $383,087.42; and
WHEREAS, HRB Construction, Inc has provided a proposal for installation of the
Additive Alternative B in the amount of $7,503.00; and
WHEREAS, a budget adjustment has been prepared to accommodate the
updated use of funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby awards the contract for the Ainsley Park Enhancement Project 02-04
to HRB Construction, Inc., authorizes the Public Works Director to execute a contract
with HRB Construction, Inc., in the amount of $390,590.42 and encumber a 15%
construction contingency in the amount of $58,588.56; authorizes the Public Works
Director or City Engineer to execute contract change orders up to and within the 15%
contingency limit; and approves the attached budget adjustment.

REASON FOR REOUEST - BE SPECIFIC:
Additional funding from Redevelopment Agency 2002 Tax Allocation Bond proceeds needed to cover
additional Ainsley Park improvement expenses due to higher construction costs than anticipated during
conceptual design phase.
