A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING SUBMITAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
SANTA CLARA COUNTY OPEN SPACE AUTHORITY FOR THE
HACIENDA/WINCHESTER PERCOLATION POND PROJECT (CIP #05-01) AND
APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority (SCCOSA) has invited the
City of Campbell to submit an application for funding; and
WHEREAS, the Hacienda/Winchester Percolation Pond Project (CIP #05-01) is
contained within the City's Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Hacienda/Winchester Percolation Pond Project will increase and supply
an accessibility of open space within the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, design of the Hacienda/Winchester Percolation Pond Project has begun
and the use of SCCOSA funds will provide the required local matching funds for other
grant funds allocated to this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to submit a request to SCCOSA for
$109,000 in funds for the Hacienda/Winchester Percolation Pond Project (CIP #05-01)
and approves the attached budget adjustment reducing Park Dedication Funds to the
project by $75,000 and increasing the project budget by $109,000 in Open Space
Authority Grant funds.

REASON FOR REQUEST - BE SPECIFIC:
Use $109,000 grant from Santa Clara County Open Space Authority instead of Parkland Dedication Fees
for the Hacienda Percolation Pond capital project (05-01). This exchange provides an additional $34,000
for the project and makes $75,000 in Parkland Dedication Fees available for other projects.
