TESTING AND INSPECTION DURING GRADING OF STREET
Gentlemen:
Per your request, our firm performed testing and inspection services during
grading operations for the Street, curb & Gutter areas, and sidewalk for the
White Oaks Subdivision located on White Oaks Road in Campbell, California.
The areas were moisture conditioned and compacted properly. Baserock was placed
in the curb & gutter areas and sidewalks and was compacted with a roller~
The results of the field density tests indicated that the subgrade in curb & gutter
and sidewalk areas was compacted to 92.5 to 93.6% relative compaction. The baserocko
in these areas was compacted to 96.2 to 97.0% relative compaction. The subgrade
in the Street was compacted to 95.1 to 95.6% relative compaction.
The trenches for sanitary and storm were dug out at different places and the
material was checked for compaction. The results of the tests indicated that the
material was compacted to 91.2 to 92.0% in the lowere layers and 95.4 to 95.6%
relative compaction in the top layer.

Gentlemen:
We have made a final inspection of subject Public Works construction
and find it acceptable and in conformance with City standards.
Accordingly, we will recommend the acceptance of the work to the City
Council. We will send a copy of their resolution accepting the work
upon their approval of same.
You are responsible for the maintenance, repair and/or replacement of
all work done should any failures occur within one (1) year of this
date. To guarantee this, you must either post a maintenance bond in
the amount indicated above,.or maintain your existing faithful
performance bond. If you post a separate maintenance bond, your
current bond will be released by separate action.
We will inspect the work in one (1) year and advise you whether or
not maintenance is needed.
