RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD SALES CONTRACT FOR
CABLECASTING EQUIPMENT TO VMI, INC.
WHEREAS, Magic Wave Productions, the City's consultant on the Cablecasting
Equipment Upgrade Project, solicited bids for cablecasting equipment in December
2005;
WHEREAS, three bids were received from known vendors in the Bay Area and all
three bids were below the consultant's cost estimate;
WHEREAS, VMI was the lowest fully responsive bid;
WHEREAS, VMI has a positive track record with the City as it was the vendor from
whom the City procured its first cablecasting equipment system in 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the City Manager to award a sales contract to VMI for
cablecasting equipment as identified in its proposal to the City.
