PC Res 2789RESOLUTION NO. 2789 PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF CAMPBELL BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM PF (PUBLIC FACILITIES) TO C-1-S (NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 10-70 EAST HAMILTON AVENUE AND 1620-1670 SOUTH WINCHESTER BOULEVARD, AND FROM C-2-S (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) TO C-1-S (NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1690 SOUTH WINCHESTER BOULEVARD AS SHOWED ON THE ATTACHED "EXHIBrr B," APPLICATION OF MR. BRAD KROUSKUP, ON BEHALF OF CAMPBELL-GATEWAY SQUARE, LTD., FILE NO. ZC 91-04. After notification and Public Hearing as specified by law on the proposed amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell; as per the application filed in the Planning Department on December 17, 1991; and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did determine that the change as shown in the attached "Exhibit B," entitled Map of Said Property, should be made to the Zoning Map based upon the following findings: The recommended C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning District is consistent with the proposed commercial land use of the Land Use Element of the General Plan. The allowed uses and the development standards of the C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning District provides a transitional commercial use to adjacent professional office and low density residential uses. The existing circulation system is supportive of a neighborhood commercial zoning at this location. Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further finds and concluded that: The proposed zoning will be compatible with the surrounding zoning and land uses. Resolution No. 2789 Adopted on March 24, 1992 Page Two The proposed zoning will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood, or be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City. The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council enact the attached Ordinance making effective the recommended changes to the Zoning Map.
