BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ALLOWING AN OUTDOOR
FLOWER STAND IN FRONT OF AN EXISTING BUSINESS,
ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1783 SOUTH WINCHESTER
BOULEVARD, IN A C-2-S (GENERAL COMMERCIAL)
ZONING DISTRICT; APPLICATION OF F. ANTON1K, FILE
NO. UP 92-03.
After notification and Public Hearing as specified by law on the application of
Ms. F. Antonik allowing an outdoor flower stand in front of an existing
business, on property located at 1783 South Winchester Boulevard, in a C-2-S
(General Commercial) Zoning District, as per the application filed in the
Planning Department on January 2, 19922 and, after presentation by the
Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission
did find as follows with respect to File No. UP 92-03:
The proposed outdoor business is located in the C-2-S (General
Commercial) Zoning District, which allows outdoor businesses, subject to
the approval of a Conditional Use Permit.
2. The use will be located in an existing shopping center in front of an
existing business on a main arterial street.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further
finds and concludes that:
The establishment, maintenance, or operation of the use applied for will
not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general
welfare of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such
proposed use, or be detrimental or injurious to property and
improvements in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City.
The proposed site is adequate in size and shape to accommodate the said
use with uses in the surrounding area.

The proposed site is adequately served by streets of sufficient capacity to
carry the kind and quantity of traffic such use would generate.
4. The proposed use is compatible with the uses in the area.

Based upon the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby grant
the requested proposal, subject to the following Conditions of Approval:
SITE AND BUILDING DESIGN
Approved Project
1. This approval is to allow the operation of an outdoor business on a site
identified as Assessor's Parcel Number 305-21-012. Development shall
substantially conform to the applicant's description and plans submitted
as a portion of this application, dated January 29, 1992.
Signs
2. Sign application to be submitted in accordance with provisions of the
Sign Ordinance for all signs. No sign to be installed until application
approved and permit issued by Planning and Building Departments
(Section 21.53 of the Campbell Municipal Code). (Planning)

3. The flower stand shall be constructed of marine plywood and be painted
with a water resistant finish. (Planning)
Hours of Operation
4. The hours of operation for the flower stand will be limited to 9 a.m. to 6
p.m. daily. The stand must be removed during non-operation hours.

Walkway
5. A six foot clear walkway shall be maintained in front of the flower stand
at all times. (Planning)
Approval is effective ten days after decision of approval of the Planning
Commission, unless an appeal is filed.
Further, the applicant is notified as part of this application that he is required
to comply with all applicable Codes and Ordinance of the City of Campbell
and the State of California which pertain to this development and are not
herein spedfied.
