PLANNING COMMISSION
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM PF (PUBLIC FACILITY)
TO PD (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HACIENDA AVENUE AND WINCHESTER
BOULEVARD (3101 SOUTH WINCHESTER BOULEVARD)
AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT (APPLICATION OF MR. BRUCE
BOWEN; ZC 90-13).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the proposed
amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after
presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the
Planning Commission did determine that the change as shown in the
attached Exhibit A should be made to the Zoning Map based on the
following findings:
The proposed Zone Change will be comparable to the zoning districts
having public frontage on Winchester Boulevard.
The Zone Change will be compatible with the zoning districts in the
immediate vicinity of the proposed site.
The proposed Zone Change will allow greater flexibility of combined
uses on the site.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission
further finds and concludes that:
The proposed zoning will be compatible with the surrounding zoning
and land uses.
The proposed zoning will not be detrimental to the health, safety,
peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of persons residing or
working in the neighborhood, or be detrimental or injurious to
property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the general
welfare of the City.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City
Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto making effective the
recommended changes to the Zoning Map.
