PC Res 2726 RESOLUTION NO. 2726
PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
amendment to the General Plan of the City of Campbell; and, after
presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the
hearing was closed on File No. GP 90-04.
After due consideration of all evidence presented and based upon the
following findings, the Commission did determine that there is
significant need to amend the General Plan from Public/Semi Public to
Commercial, as shown on the attached Exhibit A, entitled Map of Said
Property.
The proposed General Plan Amendment will result in a more
compatible land use and is consistent with the existing land
uses having frontage on Winchester Boulevard.
The proposed amendment is compatible with other land uses in
the area.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission
further finds and concludes that:
The proposed amendment will not be detrimental to the health,
safety, peace, morals, comfort, or general welfare of persons
residing or working in the neighborhood of such proposed use,
or be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in
the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City.
The Planning Commission does hereby recommend that the City Council adopt
the attached Ordinance enacting the necessary legislation to make the
proposed text amendment effective.
