RESOLUTION NO. 10620
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
FOR STREET SWEEPING SERVICES
WHEREAS, on May 17, 2005, the City Council of the City of Campbell awarded the FY
2005/06 Street Sweeping contract to Don and Mike's Sweeping, with the option of
extending the contract for three additional years; and
WHEREAS, the contract ends on June 30, 2006 and staff does not recommend
extending the contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has been presented with a Request
For Proposal (RFP) for street sweeping services for Fiscal Year 2006/2007 that will
enable the Council to consider equipment type, customer service, performance, and other
factors along with the cost of the service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the issuance of a Request for Proposal for street sweeping services,
and that the Public Works Director is authorized to give notice inviting Requests For
Proposals (RFP) for said annual street sweeping in the manner and for the time
prescribed by law.
