PC Res 2692RESOLUTION NO. 2692 PLANNING COMMISSION BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNATION; AND, A ZONE CHANGE FROM R-1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO R-1-H (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL/HISTORIC OVERLAY) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 140 SOUTH PETER DRIVE AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT (APPLICATION OF MRS. ROBERT PODESTA; ZC 90-06/HPB 90-04. After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the proposed amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission does recommend Historic Landmark Designation; and, has determined that the change as shown in the attached Exhibit A should be made to the Zoning Map based on the following findings: me The Galino-Leigh home is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The property is listed in the Santa Clara County Heritage Resources Inventory. The building is in excellent condition. Designation of the Galindo-Leigh home as a local historic landmark will emphasize the importance of historic preservation in the community. The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council designate the property at 140 South Peter Drive as an Historic Landmark, and enact the Ordinance attached hereto making effective the recommended changes to the Zoning Map.
