PC Res 2654RESOLUTION NO. 2654
PLANNING COMMISSION
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT, PLANS,
ELEVATIONS, DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE, AND CONDITIONS
OF APPROVAL TO ALLOW THE CONSTRUCTION OF STORAGE
BUILDING ON PROPERTY KNOWN AS 154 SOUTH FIRST STREET,
IN A PD (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT/COMMERCIAL) ZONING
DISTRICT. APPLICATION OF MR. ABBAS HAGHSHENAS, PD 89-21
After notification and Public Hearing as specified by law on the application of
Mr. Abbas Haghshenas, for approval of a Planned Development Permit, plans,
elevations, and development schedule to allow the Construction of storage
building, on property known as 154 South First Street; and, after presentation
by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission did
find as follows:
1. A public utility is an allowed use in any zoning district subject to
approval of a Use Permit.
2. The proposal is a minor variation of the existing use as a public facility.
3. The site is not well suited to retail or to service commercial development
due to the limited access to a public street.
4. The proposed use will not be harmful or detrimental to surrounding uses.
5. The proposed use is consistent with the General Plan.
Based upon the above findings, the Planning Commission recommends approval of
the plans, elevations, development schedule, and conditions of approval as
presented; and, further recommends that the City Council approve a Planned
Development Permit and enact the attached Ordinance adopting said plans,
elevations, development schedule, and conditions of approval for that portion
of the above-referenced Planned Development Zoning District.
