BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF CAMPBELL, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DESIGNATION OF THE RESIDENCE AT 227 ALICE AVENUE
AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK, APPLICATION OF RICK
AND JACQUELINE COSTANZO, HPB 89-03.
After notification and Public Hearing, as specified by law on the application
filed by Rick and Jacqueline Costanzo, to designate the residence at 227 Alice
Avenue, as a Historic Landmark, and after testimony by proponents and
opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission did
find as follows:
1. The residence is closely associated with the Hyde Family, and was built in
the "Hyde Residential Park" Subdivision.
2. This home is a good example of the "Craftsman Bungalow" style of
architecture.
This residence is in excellent condition and has characteristics of
historic homes located on Alice Avenue; and is located on a corner in a
prominent visual location for the street.
Based upon the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby recommend
that the City Council take action to designate the residence at 227 Alice
Avenue, as a Historic Landmark in the City of Campbell, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of November 1989, by the following roll call
