PC Res 2619RESOLUTION NO. 2619 PLANNING COMMISSION BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM R-l-9 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO R-l-6 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) FOR PROPERTY KNOWN AS 1253 HARRIET AVENUE AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT (APPLICATION OF COSIMO AND ANGIE GIANCOLA; ZC 89-09). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the proposed amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did determine that the change as shown in the attached Exhibit A should not be made to the Zoning Map based on the following findings: The proposed zone change is not consistent with the intent of the General Plan as delineated in the San Tomas Policy adopted by the City Council in 1980 and subsequently incorporated in the Land Use Element of the General Plan. 2. The proposed zoning will not be consistent with the surrounding zoning. 3. The proposed zoning will create a precedent which will result in increased densities and traffic impact in the neighborhood. The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto making effective the recommendation of the Planning Commission.
