PLANNING COMMISSION
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM PD (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT)
TO PD-H (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT-HISTORIC OVERLAY)
FOR PROPERTIES KNOWN AS 116-130 N. CENTRAL AVE.,
111-125 N. HARRISON AVE., AND 400 GRANT AVE. AND
THE CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED
EXHIBIT (APPLICATION OF CITY OF CAMPBELL; ZC 89-08).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the proposed
amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after
presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the
Planning Con~nission did determine that the change as shown in the attached
Exhibit A should be made to the Zoning Map based on the following
findings:
Historic Overlay: The significance of Mr. Ainsley in Campbell's
history and the architectural significance of the house warrant the
historic overlay.
2. Compatibility:~ The historic overlay will be compatible with the
surrounding zonings and land uses and should enhance the area.
Health and Safety: The proposed zoning will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of persons
residing or working in the neighborhood, or be detrimental or
injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the
general welfare of the City.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City
Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto making effective the
recommended changes to the Zoning Map.

BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING THE
ZONING MAP FOR PROPERTY KNOWN AS
116-130 N. CENTRAL AVE., 111-125 N.
HARRISON AVE., AND 400 GRANT AVE. AND
THE CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED
EXHIBIT (APPLICATION OF CITY OF CAMPBELL; ZC 89-08).
The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: That the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell is hereby
changed and amended by adopting the attached Exhibit A entitled Map of
Said Property, as per the City-initiated application for approval of a
Zone Change for properties known as 116-130 N. Central Ave., 111-125 N.
Harrison Ave., 400 Grant Ave., and Civic Center Complex from Pd (Planned
Development) to PD-H (Planned Development-Historic Overlay).
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall become effective thirty days following
its passage and adoption and shall be published once within fifteen days
upon passage and adoption in the San Jose Mercury News, a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara.
