BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM PD (PLANNED

RESIDENTIAL WITH AN HISTORIC OVERLAY) FOR
PROPERTY KNOWN AS 84 N. THIRD ST. AS
SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED EX]{IBIT (APPLICATION

After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the proposed
amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after presentation by
the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Cox~ission did
determine that the change as shown in the attached Exhibit A should be made to
the Zoning Map based on the following findings:
The proposed Historic Overlay Zoning District will help assure the
preservation of the residence.
The proposed Historic Overlay Zoning District is consistent with the
action of the Historic Preservation Board to recommend designation of
this property as an Historic Landmark.
The proposed zone change is consistent with the General Plan of the
City and will not be harmful or detrimental to surrounding properties
or the neighborhood.
This residence represents an historically significant resource to the
community in that it embodies distinctive characteristics of a Queen
Anne Cottage style architecture; and, it is associated with Mr. J. C.

Clara Valley and the community.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City
Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto making effective the recommended
