PLANNING COMMISSION
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A USE PERMIT
ALLOWING THE REINSTATEMENT OF A PREVIOUSLY
APPROVED USE PERMIT WHICH ALLOWED THE ESTAB-
LISHMENT OF A CHURCH ON PROPERTY KNOWN AS
1300 SHEFFIELD AVE. (APPLICATION OF SOUTH BAY
COVENANT CHURCH, UP 84-04/R 88-03).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the application of
South Bay Covenant Church for a reinstatement of a previously approved Use
Permit which allowed the establishment of a church on property known as 1300
Sheffield Ave. in a P-F (Public Facilities) Zoning District, as per the
application filed in the Planning Department on July 11, 1988; and, after
presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing
was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission did
find as follows:
1. A church is an allowed use in a P-F (Public Facilities) Zoning District,
upon approval of a Conditional Use Permit.
2. There have been no changes in the zoning or general plan for this area.
3. Staff has not received any complaints regarding the church use.
4. Reinstatement until June 30, 1989, would be commensurate with the term of
the lease with the School District.
Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby grant the
requested Use Permit, subject to the previous conditions.
The applicant is notified as part of this application that he/she is required
to comply with all applicable Codes and/or Ordinances of the City of Campbell
and the State of California which pertain to this development and are not
herein specified.
