RESOLUTION NO. 10196
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AN
AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
ON THE SAN TOMAS EXPRESSWAY
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell desires the California Highway Patrol to continue to
provide traffic enforcement services on that portion of the San Tomas Expressway which is within
the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, the California Highway Patrol has agreed to provide such services through
contractual agreement; and
WHEREAS, the attached document entitled "AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL AND THE COUNTY
OF SANTA CLARA, SANTA CLARA COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT, THE CITIES OF
CAMPBELL, MILPIT AS, SAN JOSE, SANTA CLARA, AND SUNNYV ALE FOR TRAFFIC
ENFORCEMENT SERVICES ON SANTA CLARA COUNTY EXPRESSWAYS" authorizes the
California Highway Patrol to provide traffic enforcement services on San Tomas Expressway from
July 1, 2003 through June 30,2006;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves said agreement and authorizes the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the
City of Campbell.
