A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ACCEPTING SAFE TREE GRANTS AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, the shareholders of Pacific Gas & Electric Company are funding a
public education and awareness program entitled "Safe Tree;" and
WHEREAS, Pacific Gas & Electric Company is dedicating five million dollars
over a five-year period to fund the Safe Tree Program; and
WHEREAS, Pacific Gas & Electric Company has awarded the City of Campbell
a Safe Tree Grant in the amount of $9,975; these funds will be used to plant trees along
W estmont Avenue as part of the W estmont Avenue Improvement Project 03-04; and
WHEREAS, Pacific Gas & Electric Company has awarded the City of Campbell
a Safe Tree Grant in the amount of $500; these funds will be used to plant trees along the
entryway access road leading from Dell Avenue to the parking area of Los Gatos Creek
County Park in conjunction with the May 10 Community Litter Clean-up event;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby accepts a Safe Tree grant award from Pacific Gas & Electric Company
and approves a budget adjustment in the amount of $10,475, increasing revenue in the
Public Works Maintenance Administration budget.
