RESOLUTION NO. 10646
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
FORMATION OF THE ECONOMIC DEVLOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, On March 21,2006 the Campbell City Council adopted an updated
Economic Development Strategy that outlines programs and action strategies to help create a
positive business climate and a sustaining tax base; and
WHEREAS, One such strategy is the formation of an Economic Development Advisory
Committee consisting of members of the various business sectors who are recognized to have a
professional working knowledge of the local and regional economy and who can advise the City
Council on economic conditions and trends and assist with economic development planning;
and
WHEREAS, Committee appointees shall be appointed for a two year term and the
Committee shall meet two to three times a year as determined by the Committee; and
WHEREAS, two members of the City Council will be appointed by the Mayor to serve on
the Committee, one of whom will act as Chair; and the City Manager, Redevelopment Manager
and Finance Director will serve as ex officio members.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Campbell City Council
authorizes the formation of the Economic Development Advisory Committee with representatives
from the following business sectors
Major Retail
Real Estate Development
Commercial Lending Industry
Chamber Board Member
Industrial/Office
Small Business
Commercial Brokerage
Resident
