PC Res 2504RESOLUTION NO. 2504 PLANNING COMMISSION BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A MODIFICATION TO A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT (PD 84-03) TO ALLOW THE ADDITION OF A CAFETERIA AND INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS TO AN EXISTING FACILITY ON PROPERTY KNOWN AS 600 E. HAMILTON AVE. IN A PD (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT/COMMERCIAL) ZONING DISTRICT (APPLICATION OF APPLE COMPUTER, INC. M 87-30). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the application of Apple Computer, Inc., for approval of a modification to a previously approved Planned Development Permit to allow the addition of a cafeteria and interior modifications to an existing facility on property known as 600 E. Hamilton Ave.;and, after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed. After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission did find as follows: 1. The proposed project is an appropriate scale in relationship to the adjacent developed uses. 2. ~he project is well designed and architecturally blends into the 'neighborhood. 3. The parking provided meets/exceeds the code requirements. 4. The project is designed to minimize infringement on neighboring properties. 5. The project is of a high quality design and will be aesthetically pleasing. 6. Substantial landscaping has been provided which adds to the aesthetics of the project. Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission recommends approval of the plans, elevations, development schedule and conditions of approval as presented, and further recommends that the City Council approve a Planned Development Permit and enact the attached Ordinance adopting said plans, elevations, development schedule, and conditions of approval for that portion of the above-referenced Planned Development Zoning District. BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A MODIFICATION TO A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT (PD 84-03), PLANS, ELEVATIONS, DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE, AND CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF A CAFETERIA AND INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS TO AN EXISTING FACILITY ON PROPERTY KNOWN AS 600 E. HAMILTON AVE. IN A PD (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT/COMMERCIAL) ZONING DISTRICT. (APPLICATION OF APPLE COMPUTER, INC., M 87-30). The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell is hereby changed and amended on property known as 600 E. Hamilton Ave. by adopting the attached Exhibit A entitled Plans and Elevations; Exhibit B entitled Development Schedule; Exhibit C entitled Map of Said Property; and Exhibit D entitled Conditions of Approval, as per the application of Apple Computer, Inc. for plans, elevations, and development schedule to allow the modification of a previously approved Planned Development Permit to allow the addition of a cafeteria and interior modifications in an existing facility in a Planned Development Zoning District. Copies of sai~,Exhibits are on file in the Planning Department. SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall become effective 30 days following its passage and adoption and shall be published once within 15 days upon passage and adoption in the San Jose Mercury News, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara. All previous conditions of approval under PD 84-03 to remain in effect except for the following changes in building usage: A. Convert cafeteria to office use - 2,750 sq.ft. B. Add cafeteria - 5,040 sq.ft. C. Add conference room - 800 sq.ft. FIRE DEPARTMENT 3. A one-hour occupancy separation is required between the A-3 occupancy and the B-3 occupancy. 4. Extend sprinkler protection to new cafeteria. 5. Provide exiting to the outside of the parking structure. REVISED DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE: M 87-30 600 E. HAMILTON AVE.
