PLANNING COMMISSION
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING AMENDMENT TO THE
LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FROM COMMERCIAL
TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR PROPERTY KNOWN AS
410 DARRYL DR. (APPLICATION OF K-LAND CONSTRUCTION
CO., GP 87-08.)
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan, from Commercial to
Medium Density Residential for property known as 410 Darryl Drive; and, after
presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing
was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission does
find as follows:
The Medium Density Residential designation would provide a transition
between the duplexes (Low-Medium Density Residential) to the South,
and the Commercial and Apartment uses to the North.
The property is not well suited for Commercial use due to its location
a block off Hamilton Ave.
A Residential use will generate less traffic than a Commercial use,
thereby causing less disturbance to the existing Residential uses in
the neighborhood.
The use will be consistent with the Residential uses to the South and
West.
The Planning Commission does hereby adopt a Resolution recommending that the
City Council adopt the attached Ordinance making effective the proposed
amendment.

BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING THE
ZONING MAP FROM C-2-S (GENERAL COMMERCIAL)
TO PD (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT/MEDIUM DENSITY
RESIDENTIAL) FOR PROPERTY KNOWN AS
410 DARRLY DR.w AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT
(APPLICATION OF K-LAND CONSTRUCTION CO, ZC 87-07).
The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: That the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell is hereby
changed and amended by adopting the attached Exhibit A entitled Map of
Said Property, as per the application of K-Land Construction Co. for
approval of a Zone Change for property known as 410 Darryl Dr. from C-2-S
(General Commercial) to PD (Planned Development/Medium Density
Residential).
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall become effective thirty days following
its passage and adoption and shall be published once within fifteen days
upon passage and adoption in the San Jose Mercury News, a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara.
