Gentlemen:
We have reviewed our construction schedule with our General Contractors,
Swinerton and Walberg Co. with reference to coordinating our construction
work with the planned street improvement. Our present construction
schedule calls for the completion of heavy trucking for building construc-
tion on about April 15, 1960. The schedule also calls for the paving of
our parking lots and road ways to commence May 1, 1960.
It is therefore, our feeling that the improvements to East Parr Avenue
could advantageously be started somewhere between April 15, and May 1, 1960.
We are also enclosing a copy of Drawing L-l which shows the details of the
various road signs in connection with our facility. When we previously
submitted to you ~awings No. CE-l, CE-2, E-l and P-l showing the connections
of our facility with the street right-of-way, you informed us that points
at which our road ways connect with the city street are wider than that
oalled for in your local ordinances. It is necessary for us to have the
width as specified on the curb entering our access road in order to handle
our traffic and trucking.
We hope, in accordance with our previous conversation, that the Signs which
we intend to use at these access entry roads will be adequate to satisfy city
ordinances.
We wish to thank you for your cooperation.

last week with respect to action to be taken by your office
In connection with obtaining a deed for a right-of-way
for the connection between Dell Avenue and Parr Avenue
to serve as an industrial street in the CM Eone.
Mayor F~lrehlld and I discussed this matter with
Robert Roll, chief engineer for the Water Conservation
District, and he advised us that if the City Engineer would
furnish him with 8 form of deed or easement to be granted
to the City of Campbell from the Water Conservation Di!trict
he would pre~ent It to hie Board of Directors and have It
executed.
Mayor F~lrchild !ugge!ted I take this matter up
with Carl Mortensen, who advised me that due to pres! of
other work your office has been handling this matter of
connecting Dell Avenue through to Parr Avenue at a part of
the general assellment distrlet work. Mr. Mortensen suggested
that I talk dlreetly with your office about it and this has
been done, 8S you know.
Tt is my understanding that your office will prepare
the necessary deeds and submit them to the Water Conservation
District for approval. I believe that when this i. done the
matter will then be closed until ~uch tIme as actual street
improvements are made.

12 inch irrigation pipe.
The street improvements are to be as shown on the drawings prepared by the
office of Mr. Mark Thomas.
By carbon copy of this letter to Mr. C. E. Barkis, IBM San Jose, I am alerting
him to the urgency of re solving relocation of the irrigation pipe and request that
he contact you at his earliest opportunity. Mr. Barkis has a set of the latest
