Dc \/ . I -\ Dear Mr. Kee: We have reviewed the site and landscape plans for U-Save Rockery, adjacent to Los Gatos Creek, File S 76-23, sent to us on February 4. Landscaping of the entire District right of way was completed in January. Any landscaping should, therefore, be restricted to the area outside of the right of way. Because it can affect the operation and maintenance of the channel, we request that any grading adjacent to the right of way be done in accordance with the enclosed Sheets 20-20B. The details of the grading should include the cross-sectional view at the right of way and should be shown on the improvement plans. It would be desirable to incorporate the site's drainage into an existing storm drainage system. If a storm drain outfall into the creek is necessary, please design it to serve the general area to minimize the number of future outfalls needed. Please submit outfall structure details for our review and issuance of a permit prior to advertising for construction. Design guides for outfalls will be furnished upon request. An old wash rack, which was used by Western Gravel Company, is located on the creek side of the existing fence. It is four feet deep and may be a hazard to users of the existing City of Campbell bike path located along Los Gatos Creek. We recommend that the wash rack be removed or fencing modified to eliminate the hazard. AN AFFIRMATIVF ACTION EMPLOYFR Mr. Arthur A. Kee -2- February 28, 1977 Please forward site grading and improvement plans for our review and the issuance of any necessary permit. Sincerely yours, (- -.. '} _". ~ "', 'v i: ~ BY W. F.
