RESOLUTION NO. 6301
BEING A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEVELOPMENT AT 44 REDDING
ROAD, CAL-COM LEASING & DEVELOPMENT, INC., A CALIFORNIA
CORPORATION AND IMPROVEMENTS THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the
City Engineer that all improvements in development at 44 Redding
Road have been completed in accordance with that agreement entered
into July 13, 1981, concerning said development; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends acceptance of the
development and improvements.
Nm~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the
improvements on development at 44 Redding Road, No. W.O.(19), be
and the same are hereby accepted and that the City Engineer is hereby

EARTHWORK OBSERVATION AND
TESTING SERVICES FOR
4-UNIT TOWNHOUSE PROJECT
50 REDDING ROAD
CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
Gentlemen:
As requested by your firm, we have provided earthwork observation
and testing services for the above project. A foundation investi-
gation was performed by our firm for the above project and the
results presented in our report titled "Foundation Investigation,
4-Unit Townhouse Project, 50 Redding Road, Campbell, California,"
dated April 2, 1981, and a progress report for earthwork observa-
tion and testing services was issued on August 18, 1981. The
scope of our services was primarily directed toward intermittent
part-time observation and testing during the earthwork operations
for the improvement of Redding Road only. This report includes
subgrade preparation and base rock placement.
During the above earthwork operations, we observed the grading
operations and performed field density tests. The results of the
laboratory compaction tests, as well as the field density tests,
are presented on the attached Tables A and B. Locations of the
field density tests are shown on the Site Plan, Figure 1.
Based on our field observations and the attached test results, it
is our opinion that the subject area was prepared in accordance
with the City of Campbell's recommendations. We must note that to
date our services at this site have not included construction ob-
servation nor testing during: (1) the placement of the sand under
slabs, (2) utility trench backfill, or (3) subgrade preparation,
fill, and basecourse placement in the parking and driveway pavement
areas.
We have employed accepted engineering and testing procedures, and
our professional opinions and conclusions are made in accordance

with generally accepted soil and foundation engineering principles
and practices. However, we do not undertake the guarantee of the
construction, nor do we relieve the contractor of his primary re-
sponsibility to produce a completed project conforming to the proj-
ect plans and specifications. No warranty is either expressed or
implied.

of drainfield required for a septic tank system, percolation tests
wilL be necessary.

site. A septic tank permit will be issued for construction of a
system which must then be built in conformance with Bulletin "A" or
