BEING A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL MAP OF
TRACT NO. 7847, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO SIGN THE PROPOSED AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of
Campbell a final map of Tract No. 7847, located on Redding Road at Hoffman
Lane, for approval;
WHEREAS, an agreement, approved by the City Attorney as to form which
covers certain conditions of approval of said map, has been presented;
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified that the map conforms to
Subdivision Map Act and City Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that said map be, and the same is hereby, approved, and that any real
property offered for dedication for public use is accepted on behalf of
the public in conformity with the terms of the offer of dedication.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Campbell.

Your memo of November 6 regarding the subject referral from the City
Council indicates that items 1, 2 and 4 of the referral relate to Public
Works Department issues and therefore should be addressed by that depart-
ment.
Item 1. Ingress-egress to Redding Road. This comment apparently relates
to the driveways on the westerly frontage of the property from which ve-
hicles would back directly on to Redding Road to exit the development.
The Public Works staff has reviewed the plan with this concern in mind and
feels that the proposal is satisfactory and should not contribute toward
a hazardous condition.
Item 2. Storm drainage on Hoffman Lane. The development as proposed on
Hoffman Lane would be required to provide a drainage system gathering all
the run-off from the proposed development Into an onsite underground storm
drain system that would discharge into the existing storm drain pipe lines
within Redding Road. No run-off from the site would be discharged onto the
surface of Hoffman Lane.
Item 4. Ownership of Hoffman Lane and related street improvements. In-
formation received from the_geveloper indicates that the westerly one-half
of Hoffman Lan~ as it abutts the subject property, is in the ownership of
the applicant of the proposed development. Hoffman Lane exists as a
40-foot right-of-way providing ingress and egress to a large number of
residential properties northerly of Redding Road. No street improvement
requirements have been suggested as a condition of development of the
subject property because Hoffman Lane is not a public right-of-way.
