In response to your inquiry regarding parking restriction
for people within your center, I am sending you a copy of
a tow-away sign which we utilize in Public Works.
Some rules surrounding a tow-away zone would be that you
must establish your limits and provide a sign which does
have the Police DepartmentJs phone number. In attempting
to suggest some limits which would not offend shoppers
but attempt to do the job,~ou can restrict parking to a
four-hour limit for customers of the center as long as
you note that the area restricted is a tow-away zone.
As to where you would get a sign that would say all that,
it appears that it would be a custom-made sign.
I hope this information will be of some help to you, ~nd
please excuse the delay.

21.42.090 of the Campbell Municipal Code reads as follows:
Any approval granted under this section shall expire one year after
the date upon which such app~oval was granted, unless an extension
for such approval is obtained by making written application for same
to the Planning Commission at least fifteen (15) days prior to the
expiration date of such approval.
No building permit shall be issued after the expiration date of any
approval ~ntil a new approval has been obtained in the manner provided
for in this Chapter.

Dear Mr. Fischer:
Confirming our telephone conversations of May 24 and 25,
1971, the City of Campbell, as a condition of granting a
street work permit to us, is requiring the boring of San Tomas
Acquino Road for installing of the fire hydrant immediately
south of the main entrance off San Tomas Road. The approx-
imate increase in cost, over the open cut method, is $1100.

A small portion of this cost is the removal and replace-
ment of a 10 foot wide section of sidewalk, curb and gutter.
It is possible that the general contractor might want to do
this part on his own.
We are planning on starting the installation of water
facilities on Thursday, May 27, 1971. We will proceed as
indicated unless we hear from you to the contrary.

1. Property to be fenced and landscaped as indicated and as
added in fired" on plans.
2. Landscape plan indicating type of plant material, location
of hose bibs or sprinkler system and type of fencing to be
submitted for approval of the Planning Director at time
of application for building permit.
3. Faithful perforDance bond in the amount of $2,000 to be
posted to insure landscaping, fencing and striping of parking
area within-three (3) months of completion of construction,
or applicant may file written agreement to complete land-
scaping, fencing and striping of parking area prior to final
building department ~learance.
4. Landscaping shall be maintained in accordance with the
approved landscape plan.
5. Each occupancy must be provided with a 6 foot high sight-
obscuring fence enclosure in areas approved by the Fire
Department, with concrete floor and 6 foot self-closing
gate of sufficient size to house its trash containers.
6. Buildings must be provided with a sprinkler system and plans
showing the sprinkle~ system layout must be suhmitted with
building plans.
7. Bank building to be shifted to the north to improve the
circulation to the drive-up window and to improve the relation-
ship between the bank and the service station. New location
of the building to be approved by the Planning Director.
The applicant is notified as pa~t of this application that he
is required to meet the following conditions in accordance
with Ordinances of the City of Campbell:
A. All parking and driveway areas to be developed in com-
pliance with Section 9319 of the Campbell Municipal Code.
B. Underground utilities to be provided as required by
Section 9110.6 of the Campbell Municipal Code.
c. Plans submitted to the Building Department for plan check
shall indicate clearly the location of all connections for
underground utilities including water, sewer, electric,
telephone and television cables, etc.
D. Sign application to be submitted in accordance with pro-
visions of the slgn ordinance for all signs. No sign
to be installed until apPDcation is approved and permit
issued by the Building Department.
E. Developer to install three No. 76 fire hydrants as
directea by the Fire Department.
F. Applicant to obtain excavation permit for driveway
approach modification.
G. Applicant to pay storm drainage fee in the amount of
$7,190.00.
H. Application for the theatre shall be submitted and the Use
established prior to the other Uses indicated, or parking
shall be provided at tIle ratio of one (1) space per each
200 square feet of building floor area.
.1. Application for and occupancy of the restaurant shall also
be established prior t~ permit for the remainder of the
complex or parking shall be provided at the ratio of one (1)
space for each 200 square feet of building.
The applicant is notified that he shall comply with all applicable
Codes or Ordinances of the City of Campbell which pertain to this
development and are not herein specified.
