That the City Council accept the Negative Declaration which has been prepared for "this project; and 2. That the City Council adopt the attached findings and approve this map subject to the attached conditions. DISCUSSION The applicant is requesting approval of a Tentative Subdivision Map to allow the creation of 11 single family lots on a public cul-de-sac having access to Whiteoaks Rd. The project site is currently occupied by 5 single family homes, a car shed, and a dog kennel; All of the existing buildings would be removed with the exception of a single family residence and accessory structures on the southeastern portion of the site. The project comprises approximately 2.4 gross acres. The proposed subdivision would be developed at a density of 4.5 units per gross acre, which is consistent with the Low Density Residential (less than 6 units per gross acre) shown on the Land Use Element of the General Plan. The proposed lots range in size from 6,000 sq.ft. to 15,000 sq. ft. Ten of the proposed lots would have access to the new cul-de-sac, with one of the lots fronting Whiteoaks Rd. Tbe Planning Commission is of the opinion that the lot design and arrangement is acceptable and is recommending approval of the proposed subdivision map, sUbject to the attached conditions. At its meeting of November 24, 1987, the Commission unanimously recommended approval of TS 87-04 (vote: 7-0). A copy of the minutes from that meeting are attached. Attachments: 1. The proposed map would accommodate 7 single family homes on a half street and would involve Parcels 6 & 7 on the attached map. The subject properties are currently in the County of Santa Clara's jurisdiction, but in Campbell's Sphere of Influence.
