RESOLUTION NO. 10698
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING MODIFICATIONS TO THE FIELD AND FACILITY USE POLICY AND
FEE SCHEDULE REGARDING TENNIS COURT RESERVATIONS
WHEREAS, the City currently has a Field and Facility Use Policy and fee
schedule for the use of public park facilities; and
WHEREAS, the popularity of the Community Center's tennis courts has created
a need for a revision to this policy to make the courts more available for general public
play; and
WHEREAS, the fee schedule has been reviewed and is found to be in need of
modification to bring it into conformance with the standard policy of making a
differentiation between Group 2 and Group 3 rental rates; and
WHEREAS, specific modifications to the Field and Facility Use Policy regarding
these issues have been proposed and approved by the Pak and Recreation
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby adopts the proposed
modifications to the Field and Facility Use Policy, effective November 1, 2006;

vote:

VII. FACILITY/COURT USE POLICY
General information pertaining to use of tennis courts, handball courts, sand volleyball
courts, and horseshoe pits has been summarized and noted here so that users and
those participating in their activities may be made fully aware of the conditions of use
under which your reservation was made.
A. CONDITIONS OF USE
1. The tennis courts at the Campbell Community Center are not available for rental
uses.
2. Only 50% of the available courts at any location may be reserved at anyone
time. All other courts will remain open to the general public. For full closure of
any facility a Special Event Permit must be submitted and approved and is
subject to additional Special Event fees, insurance and other requirements
and/or restrictions.
3. Permit holders are required to carry their permit with them at all times while using
a rented facility.
4. Only tennis shoes and non-marking soled shoes are allowed on the tennis and
handball courts.
5. All steel racquets must have guards.
6. Skates, skateboards, scooters, go-peds, bicycles, animals, glass containers, and
alcoholic beverages are not allowed on tennis courts, handball courts, sand
volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits.
7. All General Facility Use Rules (Section V) apply to court uses.
