PC Res 3389RESOLUTION NO. 3389
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL
ADOPT AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE CURRENT HOUSING
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN IN PREPARATION FOR THE
ADOPTION OF AN UPDATED HOUSING ELEMENT.
After notification and public hearing, as specified by law on the proposed amendments to the
City of Campbell Housing Element, and after presentation by the Community Development
Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did determine that the repeal of
this Ordinance is warranted based upon the following findings:
1. The City has completed a comprehensive update of the Housing Element that is required by
State law to be adopted by December 31,2001.
2. The current Housing Element was adopted by the City Council on March 3, 1992.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further finds and concludes
that:
1. The existing Housing Element must be repealed in order to adopt a Resolution to approve the
2001-2006 Housing Element.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council adopt
an Ordinance to repeal the ordinance that enacted the current Housing Element in preparation
for the adoption of the 2001-2006 Housing Element.
