BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING CAMPBELL OPTOMETRIC GROUP
ON BEING SELECTED "2006 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR"
WHEREAS, Campbell Optometric Group was selected by the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce as "2006 Business of the Year" and will be honored at the Chamber's
annual "Celebrate Campbell" banquet on February 24, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Campbell Optometric Group has been operating its business in Campbell
for the past 30 years under the partnership of Dr. Arthur Low and Dr. Rodney Lum; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Arthur Low, is an active member of the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce and the Lions Club, and has served as President of both organizations; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Rodney Lum is currently serving as President of the Chinese Historical
and Cultural Project which helps to promote and preserve Chinese American history
and culture; and
WHEREAS, Campbell Optometric Group has been a strong supporter of numerous
Campbell events such as the Prunefestival, Boogie on the Bayou and Oktoberfest; and
WHEREAS, Campbell Optometric Group has participated in an annual Job Shadow
Day hosting students from Campbell schools serving as mentors and informing youth
about various careers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Campbell City Council congratulates
Campbell Optometric Group and its partners, Dr. Arthur Low and Dr. Rodney Lum, on
being selected "2006 Business of the Year" and recognizes the many contributions
Campbell Optometric has made to the Campbell community.
