RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AND THE VOLUNTEER CENTER OF SILICON V ALLEY
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Emergency Preparedness Council has granted funds to the
V olunteer Center of Silicon Valley to establish a plan for managing Spontaneous Volunteers within
the County, and
WHEREAS, an Emergency Volunteer Center would be established in the City of Campbell
during a time of disaster to assist the City in responding to the emergency, and
WHEREAS, the plan to manage these Spontaneous Volunteers falls within the guidelines of
California's Standardized Emergency Management System;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of
Campbell and the Volunteer Center of Silicon Valley to establish an Emergency Volunteer Center in
the City during times of disaster.
