RESOLUTION NO. 10755
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA ALLOWING FOR THE PASS-THROUGH OF VARIOUS
HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Federal government has made grant funds available to local
jurisdictions for Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness programs; and
WHEREAS, the Federal government gives the funds to the State of California, which in
turn releases the monies to the Santa Clara County Operational Area for distribution to
the various Cities within the County; and
WHEREAS, the County or Santa Clara requires an agreement with the cities in order to
pass through the grant funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the City Manager as the authorized official to execute an agreement
for and in behalf of the City of Campbell, a public entity established under the laws of
the State of California, documents for the purpose of receiving Homeland Security and
Emergency Preparedness grant funding.
