A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING AN ANNUAL FUEL CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell on April 2, 2002, authorized staff to
solicit proposals for an Annual Fuel Contract; and
WHEREAS, bids have been called for and received for the Annual Fuel Contract; and
WHEREAS, Western States Oil Co. Inc., has been found to be the lowest responsible
bidder with a price of $0.026 more per gallon than the average daily price charged by all providers
of fuel at San Jose terminals as set forth in the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) Pad 4/5 Report
at the time the fuel is delivered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby awards the Annual Fuel Contract to Western States Oil Co., Inc. and authorizes the Public
Works Director to execute the contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes a four-year extension of the contract provided the supplier agrees to hold to the same
pnce.
