A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT WITH THE SANTA CLARA VALLEY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY FOF THE USE OF 1998 MEASURE B BICYCLE FUNDS AND
APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, Valley Transportation Plan 2020 includes Tier 1 Bicycle Projects along Los
Gatos Creek, and on Hamilton A venue at Highway 17, within the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, Tier 1 Bicycle Projects will be funded out of the Bicycle Expenditure Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Bicycle Expenditure plan includes $12 million from the 1998 Measure B
Bicycle Program; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) has been designated
as the Program Manager for the 1998 Measure B Bicycle Program and is responsible for
disbursing Measure B Bicycle Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell desires to initiate alternative design studies of these
Tier 1 projects.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute Cooperative Agreements with that Santa Clara
Valley Transportation Authority for 1998 Measure B Bicycle Funds; and approves the attached
budget adjustment.

Advancing FY 2004/05 CIP Project to current year to take advantage of 1998 Measure B Bicycle
Funds providing 80% funding for Los Gatos Creek Trail Improvements. VTA to provide $90,240 in
funding.
