RESOLUTION NO. 10021
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL TO APPROVE THE
ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR
THE PREPARATION OF THE WINCHESTER
BOULEVARD AREA PLAN, SOUTH OF CAMPBELL
A VENUE (SOCA) AREA PLAN UPDA TE, AND
SPECIALIZED DESIGN GUIDLINES.
WHEREAS; in November 2001, the City adopted a comprehensive update to its General Plan
which included several new General Plan policies that deal specifically with the preparation of a
Winchester Boulevard Area Plan, an update of the existing SOCA Area Plan, and the preparation
of specialized Design Guidelines; and
WHEREAS; the Request For Proposals would be sent to five (5) pre-qualified consulting firms;
and
WHEREAS, final selection of a consultant would be made by the City Council and the contract
awarded to the most responsible bidder whose proposal is determined to be the most
advantageous to the City, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in the Request
For Proposals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that the City Council of the City of Campbell will
dispense with the formal bid process for consultant services;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell approves
the issuance of a Request For Proposals for the preparation of the Winchester Boulevard Area
Plan, South of Campbell A venue (SOCA) Area Plan Update, and specialized Design Guidelines.
