RESOLUTION NO. 10765
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENTS FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE
EAST CAMPBELL AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND
APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the East Campbell Avenue Master Plan on May
15,2007; and
WHEREAS, the approved Master Plan establishes the guidelines for public
improvements along East Campbell Avenue between Railway Avenue and Union Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, grant funds from multiple sources have been identified as available to be
used to complete many of the adopted public improvements, including Federal, State, and
local funding sources; and
WHEREAS, the attached budget adjustment recognizes the various grant funds that
have been made available to complete improvements as shown on the Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, each grant includes guidelines for appropriately using the granted funds,
and requires specific procedures be followed for the hiring of consultants and contractors
when grant funds are used for those services; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director, in accordance with City policies and
procedures, shall follow the required guidelines for the selection and hiring of the design
consultant, as required by the funding agencies; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and execute Consultant Services
Agreements for design services for the East Campbell Avenue Improvement Project in an
amount not to exceed $350,000 and approves the attached budget adjustment.

Establish funding for a new capital improvement project (CIP 07-11) titled "East Campbell Avenue
Improvement Project" by reclassifYing RDA Bond Proceeds from CIP 04-03 & TDA/VTA funding
from CIP 05-08 & provide additional funding from VTA (Meas. B) & State Bicycle Transportation Grant.
