A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT WITH THE SANTA CLARA V ALLEY TRANSPORT A TION
AUTHORITY REGARDING THE PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS NEAR THE
DOWNTOWN CAMPBELL LIGHT RAIL STATION FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION
FOR LIVABLE COMMUNITIES GRANT FUNDS AND APPROVING A BUDGET
ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority has received a Federal
Transportation for Livable Communities grant for pedestrian improvements near the
Downtown Campbell Light Rail Station currently under construction as a part of the
Vasona Light Rail Line, and
WHEREAS, City is developing a plan for pedestrian improvements connecting
new housing near the Campbell Civic Center that will provide improved pedestrian
access to the new Downtown Campbell Station, and
WHEREAS, City desires to design and construct pedestrian improvements to
improve pedestrian access to the Downtown Campbell Station,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a Cooperative Agreement with
the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority regarding the pedestrian improvements
near the Downtown Campbell Light Rail Station using Federal Transportation for Livable
Communities Grant Funds; and approves the attached budget adjustment.
