RESOLUTION NO. 10085
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
A WARDING THE CONTRACT FOR PROJECT 99-05 CAMPBELL COMMUNITY
CENTER MASTER PLAN IMPROVEMENTS TO ARNTZ BUILDERS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $5,343,501.44; ENCUMBERING A 15 % CONSTRUCTION
CONTINGENCY OF $801,525.22; ACCEPTING A DONATION OF CONCRETE
PUMPING SERVICES AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, on April 16, 2002, the City Council approved the plans and specifications
for the Community Center Master Plan Improvements; and
WHEREAS, rebids have been received for this project on August 20, 2002 and Arntz
Builders has been determined to be the lowest responsive bidder; and
WHEREAS, CF&T Concrete Pumping, Inc. has agreed to donate the concrete pumps
necessary for the construction of the outdoor handball courts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby awards the contract for Project 99-05 Community Center Master Plan Improvements to
Arntz Builders in the amount of $5,343,501.44; authorizes the Public Works Director to
process and execute the contract with Arntz Builders; authorizes the encumbrance of
$801,525.22 as a construction contingency; authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate
and execute contract change orders up to and within the contingency amount; accepts a donation
of concrete pumping services from CF&T valued at $3,000.00 to $5,000.00; and directs the
Finance Director to prepare and execute a budget adjustment for this project.
