A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DRIECTOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT FOR THE HER IT AGE THEATRE FRONT AGE IMPROVEMENTS
PUBLIC ART WITH ARTIST CORK MARCHES CHI
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell wishes to incorporate public art as part of the
Heritage Theatre Renovation project; and
WHEREAS, the City budgeted $60,000 for the design, materials, labor,
fabrication and installation of public art for the Heritage Theatre Frontage Improvements;
and
WHEREAS, the renovation of the Heritage Theatre is on schedule and the City
wishes to have the artist in place to team with the architects for the design and to
coordinate fabrication and installation; and
WHEREAS, the City conducted an open call for qualifications, and the artist Cork
Marcheschi was selected by a panel after an interview;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute an Agreement with
Cork Marcheschi for said public art.
