RESOLUTION NO. 10136
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO
ENTER INTO A CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH SIERRA ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is required by the State Water Resources
Control Board to perform preliminary subsurface assessments of soil conditions in the
vicinity of a former underground fuel storage tank located at 2220 South Winchester
Boulevard; and,
WHEREAS, Sierra Environmental, Inc., was retained to perform the required
subsurface assessments; and,
WHEREAS, additional monitoring and well closure is now being required by the
State Water Resources Control Board and the Santa Clara Valley Water District; and;
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Fiscal Year 2002/03 Operating Budget to
cover the additional expense.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to enter into a consultant services
agreement with Sierra Environmental, Inc., in an amount of $9,604.00, to perform
additional monitoring and well closure at the site of an abandoned fuel storage tank
located at 2220 South Winchester Boulevard.
