RESOLUTION NO.
10113
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
GRANT FUNDS FOR THE HERITAGE THEATRE PROJECT
WHEREAS, funds are available annually from the Santa Clara County Park
Charter; and
WHEREAS, these funds are restricted to use for "park purposes" under the
Charter; and
WHEREAS, the Historical Heritage Commission and the Parks and Recreation
Department of Santa Clara County have opened up the formal grant application process;
and
WHEREAS, the Heritage Theatre project meets the conditions set forth in the
County Charter for use of these funds; and
WHEREAS, a successful award of grant funds will require an agreement with the
County of Santa Clara for the Theatre project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Campbell:
1. Approves filing of an application for grant funds for the Heritage Theatre
project; and
2. Certifies that the City understands the assurances and certification
required in the application form; and
3. Certifies that the City has or will have sufficient funds to operate and
maintain the project; and
4. Appoints the City Manager as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute
and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications,
agreements, amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be
necessary for the completion of the Heritage Theatre project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this nineteenth day of November, 2002 by the
