A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF HES FUNDS FROM THE HARRIET/MCCOY
SIGNALIZA TION PROJECT TO THE CAMPBELL/VICTOR SIGNALIZATION PROJECT
AND APPROVAL OF BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell was awarded $200,000 from the Federal Hazard
Elimination Safety (HES) Program in Fiscal Year (FY) 2002/03 for the Harriet A venue/McCoy
Avenue Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, total funding appropriated in the FY 2002/03 Operating and Capital Budget is
$200,000; and
WHEREAS, the original Harriet/McCoy project scope included the installation of a traffic
signal at the Harriet Avenue/McCoy Avenue intersection; and
WHEREAS, a neighborhood meeting was held on May 13, 2002, and the overwhelming
majority of residents who attended the neighborhood meeting opposed the traffic signal; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans has approved the use of the HES funds for the CampbellNictor
Signalization Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the reallocation of $200,000 in HES funds from the Harriet/McCoy Improvement
Project to the CampbellNictor Signalization Project and approves a budget adjustment in the
amount of $200,000.
