RESOLUTION NO. 9998
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAMPBELL TO APPROVE THE AMENDED
SANTA CLARA COUNTY DATA COMMUNICATIONS
NETWORK JOINT FUNDING AGREEMENT TO EXECUTE FUTURE
AMENDMENTS AND AGREEMENTS, AND TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO
INCORPROA TE ANY NEW PROGRAM EXPENDITURES INTO THE
APPROPRIATE FISCAL YEAR'S BUDGET
WHEREAS, in 1998, the cities of Campbell, Gilroy, Los Altos, Milpitas,
Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara,
Saratoga, Sunnyvale, the Towns of Los Gatos, Los Altos Hills, the South Santa Clara
County Fire District, County of Santa Clara, San Jose State University, and the Santa
Clara County Valley Water District (individually referred to as ''Network
Participant" and collectively "Network Participants") all desired to design county-
wide radio interoperability and a public safety radio and data communications
network system that can be implemented in each of their respective agencies with the
goal of a significant cost savings to each Network Participant;
WHEREAS, on March 5, 2002, an Amended Joint Funding Agreement was
presented to the Network Participants for approval and execution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Campbell hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Amended Santa
Clara County Data Communications Network Joint Funding Agreement, to execute
future amendments and agreements, and to authorize Staff to incorporate any new
program expenditures into the appropriate fiscal year's budget.
