RESOLUTION NO. 9990
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL HONORING
KIM BRODNIK AS 2001 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Kim Brodnik has been selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce as 2001
Citizen of the Year and will be honored at "Celebrate Campbell" on March 23, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Kim Brodnik is a member of the Kirkorian family whose business, Kirkorian
Enterprises, has been a part of Campbell for more than 50 years; and
WHEREAS, Kim Brodnik joined the family business in 1985 and serves in the capacity of
Property Manager; and
WHEREAS, Kim Brodnik, known for her dedicated community service and caring attitude
towards children, has supported many local charities such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Pace
Pacific Autism Center for Education, the American Heart Association and a variety of projects
at local schools; and
WHERAS, Kim Brodnik and Kirkorian Enterprises sponsor a Halloween event for children at
Kirkwood Shopping Center and donate the candy for the annual Eggstravaganza event at the
Campbell Community Center; and
WHEREAS, Kim Brodnik is active in the Campbell Chamber of Commerce and served as
Chamber President from 1988 to 1989.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and honors Kim Brodnik on being named 2001 Campbell's Citizen of the Year in
recognition of her service to the Campbell community and her continued involvement in
community, business and governmental affairs.
