RESOLUTION NO. 9969
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SILICON VALLEY.
INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (SV-ITS) PROGRAM
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
WHEREAS, the Silicon Valley Smart Corridor Project was completed in Spring, 2000;
and
WHEREAS, the Silicon Valley-Intelligent Transportation Systems (SV-ITS) Program
was established by the City of San Jose after completion of the Silicon Valley Smart Corridor
(SVSC) Project; and
WHEREAS, the SV-ITS Program is a regional ITS program that includes participation by
12 agencies with the City of San Jose serving as program coordinator; and
WHEREAS, the SV-ITS Program is an umbrella program for multi-agency ITS projects
in the Silicon Valley; and
WHEREAS, the attached Memorandum of Understanding identifies the roles and
responsibilities of all partner agencies involved in the SV-ITS Program; and
WHEREAS, an estimated $260,000 in traffic operations equipment and signal timing
improvements in the SV-ITS Program would be implemented in the City of Campbell in the next
several years should the Program proceed as planned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding for
the SV-ITS Program.
