RESOLUTION NO. 9947
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL ACCEPTING STATE OF CALIFORNIA
COPS FUNDING AND APPROVING AN ADJUSTMENT
TO THE 2001-2002 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a budget for the 2001-2002 fiscal year;
and
WHEREAS, additional revenue is available to the City from the State of
California for Supplemental Law Enforcement Services; and
WHEREAS, the City has complied with the legal provisions required to receive
this revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL that the City accept COPS funding from the State of California in
the amount of $100,000 as its FY 2002-2003 allocation; authorize a budget adjustment to
deposit these funds into the existing Supplemental Law Enforcement Services account;
authorize expenditures related to Community Services Officer salary and benefits while
expending the fund balance to the $100,000 limit as required by legislation; and, direct
the Police Department to submit a report to the Santa Clara County Supplemental Law
Enforcement Oversight Committee.
